Paulina Varas holds a PhD in art history and theory from the Universidad de Barcelona (Spain) and an undergraduate degree in art from Universidad de Playa Ancha, and is presently a researcher at the Universidad Andrés Bello creative campus. She is also the founder of CRAC Valparaíso, an action cell and collective research platform that does situated work. Since 2007 she has been a member of the Conceptualismos del Sur network (RedSur).
Her recent publications include Luz Donoso. El arte y la acción en el presente (2018) and Archivo CADA. Astucia práctica y potencias de lo común (2019), both published by Ocho Libros. Her research focuses on art and politics, feminisms and collective memories.
