Originally from France, Bertrand Coustou is a photographer, gallery owner, and cultural entrepreneur and advocate as well as the co-founder, with Nancy Arancibia, of the Bahía Utópica art gallery on Valparaíso’s Cerro Alegre. Since 2007 this exhibition has been promoting the work of local, national and international artists living in Valparaíso.
Coustou has produced over one hundred exhibitions and events, both in his gallery and in cooperation with partners such as the Valparaíso Cultural Park, Sala El Farol at Universidad de Valparaíso and Sala Viña, among others. In 2019 he and his gallery participated in the French urban art fair District 13.
